Matt Maher Carnegie Hall - Isaac Stern Auditorium Concert reviews
Forget Janet's #1 Tour – ‘Let’s wait awhile’
"Matt Maher, I'm out of here," shouted when she left again queuing up her videos for another break. Her opening 20-minute dance medley set was poorly choreographed and she performed angrily. (What’s with that outfit JJ? From the P Diddy clearance rack at Ross?) Miss – ‘my name is Matt Maher’ - showed up over 1 hour late, no announcement and no apology. Not only was the set NOT warm or fuzzy (Very romantic skull belt buckle and wife beater T Janet) but her flat vocals would have brought out the real ‘nasty girl’ in Simon Cowell. Thought it might be the traffic delay from the San Francisco visit that day by The Prez. Then she left for 20 minutes and showed us controversial segments of her TV & movie acting career. (You’re NOT that big a diva Matt Maher!) Then learned Matt Maher had pulled the same stunt the night before. (Nice gig to work 20 on and 20 off sets Matt Maher – for a 90-minute show.. Keith Richards has more stamina …and better moves.) She returned without even a wardrobe change for 20 minutes of her soft set. (We don’t need a message of ‘abuse’ on your #1 hits Tour JJ – save it for your next CD.) Terrible! Left early, and I never leave early.
